Dr. Susanne Röther

Dr. Susanne Röther is a biochemist and provides scientific support to our patent attorneys during patent litigations.

Prior to joining our law firm in 2014, Susanne Röther did basic research in plant and animal cell biology, immunology and oncology. Therefore, she possesses a broad and profound knowledge on diverse techniques in life sciences. Moreover, she is deeply interested in new developments and achievements in Science and Biotechnology and keeps constantly up with the state of the art.

She acquired a deep understanding of intellectual property questions and is specialized in database-specific systematic search language (STN).

Profound knowledge, technical expertise and systematic research enable her to critically scrutiny and analyse patent documents from a scientific point of view.

Curriculum Vitae

Susanne Röther studied biochemistry at the University of Bayreuth, Germany and spent a research semester at the Institute of Immunology at the University of Stockholm, Sweden. In 2007, she received a doctorate in natural sciences from the chemical-pharmaceutical faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich.

She was awarded with a long-term fellowship by the European Molecular Biology Organization and further researched at the Max-Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Munich and at the University of Regensburg.

She is author and co-author of various research articles that were published in scientific journals or in textbooks.
